Sculptural, sustainable jewelry handmade in Brooklyn

Preston & Linnie explores the line between art and jewelry, with bold, sculptural designs that combine fine metalsmith work with a broad range of materials including bone, rubber, cement, wood, lucite and more. We aim to create our pieces in a sustainable way, often by recycling or up-cycling materials and producing each piece handmade to order in Brooklyn, NY.

Statement Pieces for Spirited Women

_

As jewelry style icon Iris Apfel once said, “Jewelry is the most transformative thing you can wear.” We couldn’t agree more. We create wearable sculpture for women who appreciate the transformative power of statement jewelry.

The Process

_

Each limited edition piece is designed by jewelry artist Kim Devall and handmade in her Brooklyn, NY studio. Art meets jewelry as she combines the unexpected – whether it's juxtaposing seemingly incompatible materials, such as freshwater pearls and rubber, or augmenting fine metalsmith work with techniques she's developed along the way. The antithesis of mass-production, no two pieces are exactly alike.

Jewelry Artist, Founder
_

Kim Devall trained as a jewelry designer and metalsmith at the Fashion Institute Technology in NYC, but she truly developed as an artist when she discovered the world of 'alternative materials'. She aims to create wearable sculpture by exploring a broad range of materials and elevating each piece with fine metalwork.

Preston & Linnie is named after designer Kim Devall’s grandparents, who took great pride in making things by hand. They built their own house, furniture, a swing set and doll houses for Kim and her sisters, and grew their own vegetables – always inspiring Kim to use what’s around her to create her own handmade wonders.
