That's a Wrap! Highlights from our NYFW show at Pier 59 Studios

This was our second NYFW show with Flying Solo, a unique collaboration that brings together hundreds of looks from emerging and independent designers for a high-energy runway show at Pier 59 studios. This year, we collaborated with clothing designer, Elena Guranda, whose bold and feminine collection perfectly complimented our Sea Petal Collection in Pantone’s Color of the Year – Living Coral. It took an army of designers, models, dressers, make-up artists, production crew, and sponsors to pull it all off. Our head stylist Gloria Johnson managed to make it all look seamless. Huge thank you to everyone involved!

You asked for color. It's coming! The Sea Petal Collection at NYFW in Pantone's 2019 Color of the Year.

Hi! It’s Kim here, designer and founder of PRESTON & LINNIE. One of the things I’m most grateful for is hearing your feedback, and I continue to hear requests for color in the Sea Petal Collection. I have to admit – at first, I wasn’t sure if it I could pull it off and if it would look “high end” enough for me. Furthermore, I questioned whether it was “on brand” for PRESTON & LINNIE. We’ve always been more of a neutral tone jewelry brand, and I was worried it might seem out of character to introduce color. Well, I stand corrected. After weeks of color experiments with non-toxic dyes, I finally developed a process and color palette that I’m now obsessed with, and it has breathed new life into the collection. I decided to start with shades of coral, inspired by Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year - Living Coral. I’ll be debuting the runway collection Saturday February 9th at NYFW in partnership with Flying Solo, a collective of independent designers in NYC. Soon after the show, I’ll be on to expanding the color palette for my commercial collection, so stay tuned! I’m thinking bright blues and greens are up next, but if there’s a color you’d like to see, please let me know! Thanks again for your feedback. You were right.

It's All About Styling | New Editorial for 7 Hues Magazine

Stylists are wardrobe magicians. Pulling together the most unexpected items and turning them into editorial brilliance. Our Sea Petal Cluster Earrings were recently styled by Suthee Ritthaworn for 7 Hues Magazine in the editorial, “Westworld”. It’s always eye-opening to see how stylists pair our jewelry with looks we’d never dream up on our own, creating new and inspiring possibilities. Thank you to the team. Credits below.
